Cialis is used to treat impotency and symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy in men. Cialis, also known as tadalafil, relaxes the walls of blood vessels and increases the blood flow to the penis. Adcirca is another brand of Cialis, which is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. Do not take Cialis while taking Adcirca. Some medicines can cause unwanted and even serious side effects when used while taking Cialis. Consult a doctor before taking Cialis to make sure Cialis is right for you.

Do not take Cialis if you are currently taking any nitrate medications to treat chest pain or heart problems, which includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, and street drugs known as “poppers”. Taking Cialis while also taking any nitrate medicines may cause sudden and serious decreases in blood pressure. If your erection is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours, stop use of Cialis immediately and seek medical attention. This can cause serious damage to the penis. Tell your doctor if you are currently breast feeding. Cialis is only taken once a day, as needed. Do not take Cialis in smaller or larger dosage amounts. Cialis will not work if you are not sexually aroused. If you become dizzy, nauseated, encounter any pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw.

Stop using Cialis and seek medical attention from your doctor. You could be experiencing a serious side effect from Cialis. Cialis can be taken with or without food. Do not break or split Cialis in half, always swallow it whole. Take Cialis about 45 minutes before engaging in any sexual activity. If you believe you have overdosed on Cialis, stop use immediately and seek emergency help right away. Do not take Cialis while under the influence of alcohol. This can cause serious side effects. Also avoid any grapefruit products while taking Cialis. This can interact with the tadalafil and may lead to unwanted side effects. The most common side effects of Cialis are headache, diarrhea, sinus pain, muscle pain, and sore throat. This is not the full list of side effects for Cialis.
